 Mount Airy has Floyd’s City Barber Shop, Snappy Lunch, the Andy Griffith Playhouse, Andy’s Homeplace, Aunt Bee’s Room and Wally’s Service Station, Squad Car Tours, The Old City Jail, The Mayberry Courthouse, Mayberry Soda Fountain, Opie's Candy Store, Mayberry on Main.


Now the Andy Griffith Parkway dissects Mount Airy via Highway 52. Also while you visit Mount Airy, you’ve got to eat a Snappy Lunch pork chop sandwich served all the way. This local lunchtime favorite was featured in Gourmet magazine.

Also you must stop by The Andy Griffith Playhouse and see the new statue dedicated during Mayberry Days 2004 by TV Land to Andy Griffith for The Andy Griffith Show. Visit the new Andy Griffith Museum at the Surry Arts Arts Council and on the grounds of The Andy Griffith Playhouse-home to The World's Largest Collection of Andy Griffith Memorabilia!
