CELEBRATE JULY 4th in Downtown



 

 
July 4, 2009-MOUNT AIRY 4th of July Parade Mount Airy will celebrate our country’s independence with a parade beginning at 9:45am on July 4th with Floats and bands will start from Veterans Memorial Park. As they enter the downtown business area, they will be joined by walkers, bike riders, pet walkers, and all will proceed through downtown with the parade ending at City Hall. Participant applications are available at B & L Custom Jewelers, 308 Bistro, or Goobers. Deadline for the Applications is June 26, 2009.

Independance Day Celebration-FIREWORKS
 
Sponsored by The Sunrise Rotary and the Mount Airy Rotary Club
 
July 4- An evening of music, food and its 7th Annual Fireworks Celebration at Veterans Memorial Park.
 
The event is a family celebration with live entertainment and supports the Surry County Food Pantry and Veterans in Distress from donations collected at the various viewing areas surrounding the park.
 
Gates Open at 5pm with FREE Admission and parking. Live Music starts at 5:30pm.  Come join the celebration as THE KLASSIX-A BLAST FROM THE PAST brings beach and classic rock music from the 50's, 60's and 70's back to Mount Airy. The celebration continues with Broken Wheel performing until dark.
 
FIREWORKS BEGIN AFTER DARK-9:30pm.
