Old Time Dance-Old Time Music Heritage Hall



OLD-TIME DANCE
featuring musical hosts Slate Mountain Ramblers



The Old-Time Dance returns to Mount Airy on the first Saturday of the month all year except June. Musical hosts the Slate Mountain Ramblers take the stage at the new Old-Time Music Heritage Hall for an evening of old-time dance favorites for all ages. Group tours are welcome.

$5 ADMISSION
(Children under 6 are free)

Old-Time Dance with the Slate Mountain Ramblers – Saturday, July 3rd     

The Surry Arts Council is pleased to present an old-time dance on the first Saturday of every month in the Old-Time Music Hall (below the Andy Griffith Museum, 218 Rockford Street in Mount Airy). Popular old-time dance band The Slate Mountain Ramblers will provide the music for the July 3rd dance. Led by Richard and Barbara Bowman, The Slate Mountain Ramblers have become a mainstay at regional fiddler’s conventions and dances. There is also a free clogging workshop before dance, free with purchase of a ticket. The workshop is held from 5:30 to 6:30, and the dance starts at 7:00 pm. Admission is $5 or Season Pass.
