The Slate Mountain Ramblers are one of the area?s leading old-time bands. Marsha Todd won 1st Place in Old-Time Dance at the 2010 Galax Fiddlers Convention, and 1st Place in Clawhammer Banjo in the 2011 Galax Fiddlers Convention. The Slate Mountain Ramblers placed both years!
