Spectacular views, mountain-top chalets, elegant dining, and a wide array of recreational activities await you at Primland Resort. Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the unspoiled wilderness is 14,000 acres of outdoor lovers paradise. In the midst of Primland over a dozen mountain-top chalets are strung like jewels along the crest of the Blue Ridge. The chalets range in size and style with each offering their own unique touch. They also have two private restaurants and conference facilities on site that are available to accommodate almost any size group.
The activities offered at Primland include top-ranked sporting clays, European style driven pheasant shooting, flight duck hunting, Orvis endorsed wingshooting for pheasant, quail, and chukar, whitetail deer and wild turkey hunting. If shooting is not your forte, Primland also offers flyfishing for native trout in the wild tailwaters of Talbott Dam, fishing in our ponds for trout and bass, ATV tours, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, and tennis.
Thirteen houses are available with a total of 50 bedrooms or 74 beds. Rates range from $90 to $1,500 per night. Checks, Visa, MasterCard and money orders are accepted. Check-in is 3 p.m. Check-out is 11 a.m. Reservations are required. No meals are included but are available for additional costs and by reservation only. The houses included fully equipped kitchens, linens, towels, TV, VCR, phone, satellite TV (select chalets). Fireplaces or wood burning stoves are also available in some of the houses.

Directions: From I-77 to Mount Airy, Exit 100 (89 East). Follow 89 through Mount Airy. Hwy. 89 becomes Hwy. 103 in Downtown at the Stoplight at Reeves Community Center. Go straight at this stoplight and follow Hwy. 103 into Virginia. Primland is about 4 miles from the state line. Turn left onto State Road 773 or Ararat Hwy. Go about 1 mile, turn right onto State Road 763 or New Valley Road. Directions are available form all major airports. Call the office for more details.
