The Tucker Homeplace-Owned by the Tucker Family 336-789-4304
Charlie & Ollie Tucker built their home in 1914. The home is decorated as a farmhouse, the way it would have been decorated in the mid 1900s. Several of the pieces are orginial to the home.
Other buildings on the property include a corn crib, Willie Tucker's Shoe Shop, and out an outhouse.
For more than three decades, the home was vacant. It has become a storage place and there was talk of destroying the house. With a desire to save the home for which their grandparents had worked so hard for, 4 grandchildren decided to preserve the homeplace.
