Westwood Park offers mountain bikers a four-mile trail that is technically challenging and somewhat strenuous when ridden fast. Steep climbs and descents along with log and creek crossings make the course interesting for riders. The course is divided into two sections for the beginner or the advanced biker.
The trail located on the left side of the course requires basic skills, while the right trailhead leads bikers into the difficult part of the course. This second trail is not recommended for novice bikers. Signs will direct bikers through the tracks.
During Daylight Saving Times months (April-October), a regular guided group ride is held every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. An informal, non-sanctioned time trial is held on the first Sunday of each Monday if the weather permits. For more information, contact Richard Rhoden at 336-789-5851 or 336-786-1827.
