Make time for Old-Time as we explore our rich music heritage the week before the 47th Annual Mount Airy Bluegrass and Old-Time Fiddlers Convention. Register online at www.mountairyoldtime.eventbrite.com or contact Marsha Todd at 336-786-7998 or marsha@surryarts.org. The classes will be held in venues at Veterans Park, weather permitting. The Historic Earle Theatre and the Andy Griffith Playhouse will be back up venues. Sign up for classes at the time of registration. Registrants are free to change classes until class size limits are met. Classes include fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, mandolin, flat foot dance/square dance calling, and harmony singing. There will be clinics for old-time band, presentations by old-time music masters, jams, dances, and other sessions. Registrants are free to change classes until class size limit is met. Instructors and Presenters: Marsha Todd and Laura Turner are coordinating the event. Instructors include: Richard Bowman, John Herrmann, Nancy & Bill Sluys, Erynn Marshall & Carl Jones, Joe Newberry, Chester McMillian, Andy Edmonds, Wes Clifton, Meredith McIntosh, Terri McMurray & Paul Brown, and more! Tuition is $550. Payment in full is confirmation of your place. $100 is nonrefundable. The balance of the tuition is refundable if requested by April 30, 2018. The tuition includes classes, meals (lunch and dinner), event tickets, and a t-shirt.
