Kapps Mill Kayak Rentals is located near Dobson, NC on the Mitchell River, which is very good river for the first timers - mostly shallow water, flowing at a slow pace with no whitewater. There are a few little runs on this river, but nothing scary. They offer a 45 min. trip called the mini-run for $10.00 per kayak and also a 2-hour run for $20.00 per kayak. Family rates or group rate available for 4 or more people. Must call by 9 a.m. the morning of the day you plan on kayaking to check for availabity and to reserve kayaks.
