2020 Lighting Up The Town

6 p.m. - midnight

The Town of Pilot Mountain - The Pilot Mountain Rescue Squad is happy to announce that the 50th Annual Pilot Mountain Christmas Parade is still scheduled for Saturday, December 5th at 6 pm. However, due to the virus at hand we will be celebrating a little differently this year. The Rescue Squad, Town of Pilot Mountain and other officials want you to know that your safety is always our first priority as we consider our friends and families during these unprecedented times. 2020 has been a challenging year for all, but your Rescue Squad, Town and local businesses want to celebrate the season with a spirit of joy as we "Light Up the Night" on December 5th. Traditionally, each year we gather together to watch a parade of lights stroll down Main. This year the Pilot Mountain Rescue Squad is calling on all Town residents, Businesses and other Emergency Services Departments to carry the torch. The Town of Pilot Mountain is asking for businesses and residents throughout the city to go all out this year. We know the parade normally has floats from groups all around the community - not just on Main Street. The Town Staff has come up with a few areas that are safe to place a "float" along Main Street to encourage community wide participation while maintaining a safe traveling route for onlookers. These types of spaces will be limited and will be given out on a first-come, first serve basis. For groups interested in joining in by using one of the added spaces please use the online form below to fill out your contact information. https://bit.ly/LightUpTheTown2020
