Christmas Lights: A Holiday Tradition

From elaborate walk-through and drive-through displays, to families decorating their homes with thousands of lights set to music, to our beautifully decorated downtowns and Main Streets, this area is known for our Christmas lights! Festival of Lights at Tanglewood Park near Winston-Salem

One of the largest drive-through light displays in the southeast with thousands of lights and scenes, a holiday gift village (at the red barn, halfway through) with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, holiday crafts, wood workings, gifts, craftspeople, and more! Open Nov. 21 – Jan 3 from 6 to 11 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays are very popular, so expect extremely long lines and wait times. Mondays through Wednesdays experience lower visitation. Horse-drawn carriage rides and hayrides available at an extra cost. $15 for cars, vans, and trucks; $30 for commercial vans, limos, and mini-buses; $100 for motor coaches and large buses. High Country Lights at Felts Park in Galax, VA

Award-winning animated light show featuring thousands of LED lights choreographed to Christmas tunes. Free and open to the public. Nightly from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Thanksgiving through Jan. 2. Tune in to 96.5 FM while there to enjoy the music. 601 S. Main Street Galax, Virginia The Brady Family Lights Dozens of acres on a family farm in Pinnacle, creating a drive-through display with 500,000 lights, 150 inflatables, and 50 Christmas trees, as well as a cabin and barn. The Christmas Family Lights

25-foot tall Z-tree using 120 channels of LOR and 45,000 lights, 8 leaping arches, icicle lights, snowmen, reindeer, sleigh, nativity, and much more! Broadcast on 89.7 FM. Donations go to Mineral Spring Volunteer Fire Dept.
